Ways to Apply for an Armenian Visa

If you’re not from a visa-exempt country, you have three ways to apply for an Armenian visa:

  1. Visa on Arrival (VoA)
  2. Online eVisa
  3. At an Armenian Embassy or Consulate

Applying for a Visa on Arrival

You can apply for a VoA at these locations:

  • Zvartnots International Airport
  • Shirak Airport
  • Ayrum Railway Station
  • Various land border crossings

Cost: AMD 15,000 (approx. USD 31).

If you’re eligible for a VoA, you can also apply for an eVisa.

Applying for an Armenian eVisa

If you prefer to get your visa before you travel, you can apply online. The process involves:

  1. Filling out the application form on the Armenian eVisa portal.
  2. Providing your trip details.
  3. Paying the visa fee.

Cost:

  • USD 6 for a stay up to 21 days.
  • USD 31 for a stay up to 120 days.

The eVisa usually takes about three working days to process.

Applying for an Armenian Visa at an Embassy

If you’re from certain countries (like Afghanistan or Algeria), you need to apply at an Armenian Embassy or Consulate. Additionally, you’ll need a sponsor in Armenia, who will submit an invitation on your behalf. This process requires several documents and a bank transfer for the invitation fee.

To apply for an Armenian visa, here’s what you’ll need:

  • A valid passport (at least six months from the date of entry).
  • An Armenian Visa Application Form.
  • A recent passport-sized photo.
  • Travel itinerary and proof of accommodation.
  • Payment of visa fees.
  • Additional documents if applying at an Embassy (e.g., invitation letter, sponsor’s information).

  • Multiple-entry visitor visa: Up to 60 days per entry for one year.
  • Transit visa: Three days for single-entry or one year for multiple-entry, with three days each entry.
